Urgent: Important Notice Regarding Natwest Banking Transactions

Dear valued client,

We are writing to inform you that Natwest  made a slight change to the processing of their open banking transactions. This caused a chain effect in SleekTech's banking.

What happened:

Recently, it has come to our attention that some clients using Natwest accounts in the last couple of days may have encountered duplicated transactions coming in. These duplicates may have slight discrepancies in dates, possibly deviating by 1 or 2 days from each other. They will also typically show slightly different descriptions with the first one ususlay showing a shorter description and less details.

How to deal with it:

If you regularly allocate transactions, we advise you not to panic but to exercise extra caution when processing transactions. Please ensure each transaction is unique, and if duplicates are detected, mark them as ignored and make a note of the duplication for reference.

We do not recommend deleting them as they may come in again.

Why it happened:

This issue stems from changes made by Natwest to the way they expose their dates and descriptions through open banking interfaces. Unfortunately, this adjustment has led to confusion and the duplication of transactions. It's crucial to note that this matter is entirely beyond SleekTech's control.

The good news is, that part of the Natwest  changes is to start exposing their bank transactions on the same day they are posted bringing Natwest clients on line with most other banks already doing this.

Likelihood of recurrence:

We believe it's unlikely that this issue will recur. Once Natwest has made the necessary changes to their date and description formats, it's probable that transactions will remain consistent going forward.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please rest assured that we are closely monitoring the situation and are in communication with the relevant parties to ensure a swift resolution. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in SleekTech.

Warm regards
